Our first major shipment.

March 5, 2003--we shipped 208 copies of Dave's board game, Mortality, to Sounds of Zion Distributors in Utah. This was his first large shipment. Dave is posed with Managing Editor Dawn Griesi and FedEx Freight driver Rod Truax in front of the house.

Spencer was our shrink wrapper.

This picture was taken March 8. Spencer spent a couple of days during his spring break shrink wrapping a couple of hundred games to be ready for our second big shipment

Dave is posed in front of the Bobst Library where the Management Forum was held. He learned a lot and made some valuable contacts.

One of the first things Dave and Spencer did was visit the World Trade Center site, which was just a couple of blocks from their hotel.

This is a close-up view. They have an observation area where you can see the hole where the twin towers stood from behind some glass. They're doing construction there, but we weren't sure exactly what was going on.

A lot of American flags are displayed all over. We weren't sure if this has always been the case or is just since the terrorist attacks.

The ferry across the East River to Brooklyn was free, so we took a trip there and back.

Spencer at Columbus Circle

We visited the New York Stake Center for a priesthood meeting and took this picture at Columbus Circle. This was at the southwest corner of Central Park, and you could see Times Square from here.

Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village is just to the east of New York University. We took a walk over there just to see what it was like. This is a street market there--the street is blocked off for the merchants.

This picture was taken June 13. The baby ducks are a week or two old. You can see seven of the nine in this photo.

Heril and Maupier

On June 14, Barbara got Spencer a dog of his own. Spencer named him Heril (pronounced Harrell with an accent on the second syllable). I like this cute photo, where Maupier looks like she is SO uninterested.

Spencer in the Jazz Band

On March 17, 2003, Spencer had his first Jazz Band concert. He's their pianist.

On April 14 the Mt. Vernon Mustangs played Solon. Spencer has his foot high in the air while teammate John Wolfe looks on.
