Here are some articles that David Hall has written or that
are about him:
 | "Eliminating Fear in Dentistry"
from the February 2003 issue of Dental Economics. |
 | "The Book of
Mormon and Terrorism," written in April 2003. |
 | Dave's Record Whitefish.
On a vacation trip to Minnesota in July, 2003, Dave caught a record Menominee
Whitefish, but didn't realize what it was until it was already baking in the
oven. He wrote a story about it for the Cook County News-Herald in Cook
County, Minnesota. |
 | Article about Dave's board
game, Mortality, from the January 17, 2003 Cedar Rapids Gazette.
(This story was not written by Dave but is about him.) |
 | Dave's landmark
research about tooth bleaching. This was published internationally in
1991 and 1992, and was cited in other research journals and textbooks,
because it was the first controlled study to demonstrate that etching
teeth was not helpful in bleaching them. |
 | Research about saving
fractured teeth. This dramatic research contradicts the prevailing idea in
dentistry that a tooth fractured below the gumline is not savable. Initially
greeted with skepticism, the results Dr. Hall's pioneering research on this subject have
now been replicated by an internationally renowned prosthodontist,
Dr. Sergio Ourique, of the University of Sao Paulo Dental School, and
the manuscript that represents their combined efforts has
been published in the Revista Paulista de
Odontologia, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Jan-Feb 2004, pp 10-15. Click here for the
Portuguese version. (The
English version was published in the Journal of the Colorado Dental
Association, fall 2004 issue.) |
 | How to maintain hope in
the midst of affliction. An article that Dave wrote for the Church News
while he was in the middle of his divorce problems. It appeared in the
December 29, 1996 issue. |
 |
Threads of Honor. An article written by Dave for
Meridian Magazine, that appeared on May 19, 2004. |

Whitening toothpaste. Dave
gives helpful information about this popular claim of almost every toothpaste
on the market today. |
