David A. Hall's Credentials and Awards:

  • LDS mission to Spain, 1969-71 (one of first six LDS missionaries in Spain).
  • B.S. in Chemistry, Brigham Young University, 1974 (Magna Cum Laude).
  • Instructor, Radiology Department, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, 1977-78.
  • D.D.S., University of Minnesota, 1979.
  • Elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (national dental honor fraternity), 1979.
  • Award of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for being the most outstanding oral surgery student in his graduating class, 1979.
  • Accredited Member, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, 1990 (one of the first fifty dentists in the world to become accredited in cosmetic dentistry).
  • Chaired the first AACD Public Relations Committee, 1994-95.
  • In 1995 became an Internet pioneer, publishing one of the first dentistry web sites. This site became mynewsmile.com and has grown to become the most highly trafficked cosmetic dentistry web site in the world.
  • Elected a Fellow, International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics (1996).
  • Official Cosmetic Dentist of the Miss Iowa USA and Miss Teen Iowa USA pageants, 1997-2002.
  • Published landmark research on tooth whitening, September 1991 (Quintessence International)
  • Spanish translation of above tooth whitening research published in Barcelona, Spain, in May 1993.
  • Published research on the how to save cracked teeth, January 1998 (The Journal of the American Dental Association).
  • Listed in Who's Who in the Midwest (1990-91), Who's Who of Emerging Young Professionals (1991-92), Who's Who in Dentistry (1994-95), and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare (1999-2000).
  • Listed in the National Registry of Who's Who (2000).
  • Certified in Invisalign orthodontics (invisible braces) (2002).

  • Founded Mapletree Publishing Company (2002).

  • Developed and published the popular LDS board game Mortality (2002).

  • Launched mynewsmile.com as a nationwide cosmetic dentist referral service (2003).

  • In collaboration with Dr. Sergio Ourique of the Department of Prosthodontics, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, published further breakthrough research on how to save fractured teeth. This was published in the prominent Brazilian dental journal, Revista Paulista de Odontologia, (2004) and also in the Colorado Dental Journal (2004).

  • Guest lecturer in Internet marketing, PMA University, New York (2007).

  • With further growth of his Internet dental marketing business, he founded Infinity Dental Web, an Internet marketing company serving dentists (2007).
