April 2001 News

My dog Maupier is shown here when she had her puppies on March 28.

The picture below shows her with her puppies on April 1. The four of them were born March 31. We had a birthday party for them with a cake and everything.

Wheel of Time

I have a good but complicated book sieries that is liked among all the Hall children. The Wheel of Time.  It is about a shepherd who has to go away from his village and becomes famous and has many advetures with his 2 friends.   Computer players there is an all text but fun game out there called WOTmud.   Check it out at http://www.WoTMUD.org/

Pokemon tips:

As I said I will post Pokemon tips so here is one:  If you have the red/blue version talk to the guy that tells you how to catch em all and have him show you. Then fly to Cinnabar Island and surf along the right coast you run into a Pokemon called MissingNo.  WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T CATCH HIM.  He will screw up your game. Instead run or knock him out (he is the water/flying type) when the battle is over you will have about 150 of the 6th item on your list.  So save your Master Ball, Rare Candy, or any booster and you'll be able to have the ultimate team. If you have some tips e-mail them to the editor and don't forget to mention me in the e-mail.

Dad's Column:

The big family news continues to be Brian's mission. Brian is laboring in the Brazilian city of Vitoria da Conquista. He has had three baptisms so far, which has really helped him focus. In his last letter, he reported some success with helping a less active 19-year-old boy come back to church and start working on preparing to serve a mission himself.

Spencer and I have a tradition of reading together biographies of great men. After reading about Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Babe Ruth, etc., we have begun the new book, Go Forward With Faith - a biography of the current President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gordon B. Hinckley. We're reading about his childhood now. It's funny to read about him running away from his mother when he was six years old, to try to get out of going to school.
